Riverside Energy has a long history of responsible energy development throughout Michigan.

Through safe operations and ongoing stewardship, we are committed to supporting local communities while providing reliable energy resources.

Riverside Energy plays a vital role in Michigan’s energy future as the state’s leading upstream natural gas producer

Because Michigan imports more than 90% of its natural gas through interstate pipelines, Riverside’s local production helps provide a reliable, cost-effective energy supply while strengthening the state’s energy security.

Today, Riverside operates more than 5,800 wells across Michigan and supplies over half of the state’s natural gas production. Through the stewardship of more than 750,000 acres of mineral interests, the company supports thousands of Michigan landowners through royalty payments and invests millions of dollars annually with local contractors and businesses, helping drive economic activity throughout the state.

Riverside is also advancing innovative energy solutions that support a lower-carbon future. Through carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiatives, carbon-sequestered natural gas production, and partnerships with industrial emitters, Riverside is helping reduce emissions while continuing to provide the dependable energy Michigan communities and businesses rely on.
