Riverside Energy Michigan
Riverside Energy Michigan holds working interests in approximately 7,000 wells and operates 5,600 wells across northern Michigan. Daily sales total 85 net MMcf of natural gas produced from the Antrim Shale. The company also holds over 650,000 acres in the Antrim formation and more than 300,000 acres of deep rights across Michigan.
The mature Antrim Shale biogenic play has proven to be a reliable, low-decline asset base. Much of its development was led by MichCon during the 1990s and early 2000s. These assets were sold to Atlas in 2007, acquired by Chevron in 2011, and subsequently purchased by the Riverside Energy Group in 2016. Following the acquisition, Chevron Michigan, LLC was renamed Riverside Energy Michigan, LLC.
Since 2016, Riverside has expanded its footprint through the acquisition of several other Antrim operators, including Riviera Resources, Inc. and Breitburn Operating, Inc., becoming the leading producer of natural gas in Michigan.
Riverside is committed to nurturing these valuable assets, pursuing further opportunities in the Antrim Shale play, and making a positive impact in northern Michigan.
